Project Laadli: Giving Old Clothes a New Life, and Young Girls a Reason to Smile

What Happened

Reliable has undertaken Project Laadli, an initiative that transforms gently used Rida's, Ghagra's, and other traditional garments into beautiful, comfortable, and wearable frocks for young girls. Discarding old clothes has always been a challenge for many families — through this initiative, Reliable collects these pre-loved garments and creatively upcycles them into new frocks, giving them a meaningful second life.

Results

• Gently used traditional garments creatively upcycled into new frocks
• Frocks distributed free of cost to girls aged 5–15, particularly in villages and communities where access to new clothing may be limited
• A source of livelihood created for women and individuals involved in stitching and preparing the frocks
