What Happened
Early detection is the single biggest factor in surviving breast cancer, yet screening remains out of reach for most women in our communities. On 2 September 2025, Reliable Charitable Trust brought the Thane Municipal Corporation's Aarogya Sakhi mobile mammography unit to the doorstep of the community — arranging the parking, electricity connection, and logistics that made the camp possible. Forty-two women were screened in a single day.
Results
- 42 women received free mammography screening
- All reports delivered within 15 days
- Free counselling arranged for every positive case
- Free radiation therapy secured at MPCT Hospital, Airoli, for any woman needing treatment
What's Next
The trust plans to make screening camps a recurring part of its healthcare calendar, reaching women who would otherwise never be tested.
